Brennan Lenehan's managing partner, Mike Iacopino, will co-chair the NACDL Annual Meeting Seminar from August 10 through August 13, 2016, at The Breakers Resort in West Palm Beach, Florida. The seminar will focus on zealous representation in the face of governmental and prosecutorial misconduct. Together with co-chairs Nellie King and Melanie Morgan, Iacopino was once again responsible for assembling a nationally acclaimed faculty for the seminar.
Among other criminal defense luminaries, the seminar faculty includes presentations from:
- Jerry Buting, co-counsel for Steven Avery whose zealous representation was showcased in the Making a Murderer series.
- Robert Carey, lead defense counsel in the matter of the United States v. Senator Ted Stevens; and
- Scott Sanders, the Orange County Assistant Public Defender who blew open the corrupt jailhouse snitch operation in the Orange County (CA) jail.
In addition legendary Baltimore attorney Billy Murphy will launch the seminar with a keynote address. Murphy’s latest heroic endeavor is his representation of the family of Freddie Gray who died in custody of the Baltimore Police Department.
The Seminar promises to be the seminal national criminal defense seminar of the year. Follow the seminar on Twitter, #NACDLAnnual.
